Who we are
GFWC Florida is comprised of 193 women’s clubs across the state whose members are dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others in their local communities. With over 8,400 members across the state, these volunteer women’s club organizations attend to the diverse needs of their community through hands-on service projects, fundraising, education, leadership and friendship.
GFWC Florida is part of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs. 80,000 members strong, GFWC is united in its dedication to volunteer community service. GFWC members work in their own communities. While diverse in age, interests, and experiences, all clubwomen are united by a desire to create positive change in their communities.
GFWC Florida is unique in our breadth of community service. In 2019 club members across the state volunteered over 1,200,000 hours and donated over $3.8 million in grants, scholarships, cash and in-kind donations.

GFWC Florida is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501c3 organization. In any given week, GFWC clubwomen across the state of Florida are preparing meals for the homeless, sewing blankets for kids in foster care, supporting our veterans, collecting and distributing new and gently used books to children to promote literacy, and much more.
